FAQs

  • We believe in balanced training that focuses on clear communication, consistency, and building a strong relationship between you and your dog. We use positive reinforcement as a foundation, rewarding good behavior, while also fairly correcting unwanted behaviors when necessary to help dogs understand expectations.

  • Yes, we do use e-collars — but probably not in the way you might expect. We use modern, low-level e-collar technology to create gentle communication with your dog, similar to a tap on the shoulder. E-collars are never used to punish or scare dogs. Instead, they are used thoughtfully to reinforce commands your dog already knows, giving them off-leash freedom and improving their responsiveness in real-world environments.

  • It’s never too late! While puppies often learn quickly, adult dogs and even senior dogs can successfully be trained. We customize our approach based on your dog’s age, temperament, and history to make training enjoyable and productive at any stage of life.

  • Training timelines can vary depending on your dog’s age, temperament, previous training experience, and your goals. Some dogs progress quickly, while others may need a little more time. We’ll work closely with you to set realistic expectations and create a plan that fits your dog’s needs.

  • Absolutely. Training is a team effort! We give you the tools, guidance, and support you need, but consistent practice at home is key to maintaining your dog’s progress. We'll show you exactly what to do to keep building your dog’s skills and confidence long after formal lessons end.

  • We help with a wide range of training goals — from basic obedience like sit, stay, and recall to solving behavioral challenges such as leash pulling, jumping, reactivity, anxiety, and more. Whether you're hoping for better manners at home or reliable off-leash control outdoors, we can design a program to fit your needs.
